Cash Handler – Day Shift (San Francisco)

About the role

The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco is seeking a reliable Cash Handler to join its San Francisco branch. You will work in a high‑volume, production‑oriented environment handling United States currency and coin for distribution to financial institutions.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, process, and distribute US currency and coin in a highly regulated setting.
• Operate complex cash‑processing equipment and troubleshoot machine issues to meet production goals.
• Perform daily inventory management, including balancing, reconciling, and settlement of cash holdings.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain quality‑control policies and standard operating procedures.
• Identify operational problems and work with leadership to resolve them.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Flexibility to work primary day‑shift hours (6:30 AM‑3:30 PM or 7 AM‑4 PM) and serve as backup for swing‑shift schedules as needed.
• Ability to work on‑site at 101 Market Street, San Francisco, CA.
