Carrier Relationship Manager

About the role

Zenlayer is seeking a driven telecom professional to lead and grow relationships with carriers, ISPs, and data‑center operators. The Carrier Relationship Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping our network expansion strategy and optimizing procurement across global markets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and maintain business relationships with Internet Service Providers, IP Transit vendors, and data‑center operators.
• Identify sourcing opportunities for network services and partnerships to support expansion, reduce cost, and leverage external suppliers.
• Collaborate with the Network Leadership Team to define and execute an integrated strategy aligned with short‑ and long‑term company goals.
• Manage network services procurement, ecosystem investment, and ongoing operating‑cost commitments.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies for major networking equipment and accessories.
• Prepare and present weekly and monthly P&L management reports.
• Expand vendor channels, conduct due diligence, and negotiate costs for networking equipment.
• Identify and resolve operational process issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with company standards and procedures.
• Travel to vendor sites as needed.

Required profile

• Background in procurement, network interconnection strategy, network planning, or internet peering within telecom, data‑center, AI, or cloud industries.
• Degree in business administration or a related field.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience in similar roles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational detail‑orientation and responsibility.
