Carpentry Trainee – Hands‑On Learning

About the role
Learn the trade of carpentry by assisting experienced carpenters on remodeling projects. You will help revitalize the Hawthorne Neighborhood, contributing directly to building homes for first‑time homeowners.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare the construction site each day by gathering materials, tools, and equipment.
- Follow project instructions and make adjustments as directed by the site manager or journeyman.
- Wear and maintain safety equipment such as ear plugs, safety glasses, gloves, helmets, and boots.
- Comply with health and safety regulations while operating equipment or moving around the site.
- Maintain a productive pace to complete assigned tasks within time constraints.
- Assist team members with various tasks when your duties are finished early.
Required profile
- High School Diploma.
- Ability to lift 80 pounds and perform repetitive manual actions.
- Team‑oriented attitude and desire to learn carpentry skills.
- Resident of or willing to relocate to north Tulsa.
- Willingness to attend Crossover Bible Church and align with CCI and CDC’s mission.
