About the role

The University of Arkansas Pulaski Technical College is seeking a dedicated Career Coach to support students at a Little Rock School District high school. This full‑time, 12‑month position reports to the Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Management and focuses on guiding low‑income students toward post‑secondary success.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct early outreach to low‑income students, providing information on the value of higher education and how to prepare, apply, and finance their studies.
• Administer interest inventories and skills assessments to help students make informed career choices.
• Develop individualized career plans and portfolios, supporting students in enrolling in education or training programs.
• Provide up‑to‑date information on career pathways, required education, and opportunities for job shadowing, mentoring, internships, and business visits.
• Collaborate with school staff and community partners to create pathways that connect students with post‑secondary options.

Required profile

• Experience working with diverse, low‑income student populations.
• Strong knowledge of post‑secondary education systems, financial aid, and career development resources.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for counseling and partnership building.
