About the role
Southeastern Louisiana University Department of Transportation Services invites applications for the position of Guard. Join our team in providing a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for students, employees, and visitors.
Key responsibilities
- Perform security patrols of campus buildings and grounds.
- Monitor access to facilities and respond to emergencies and disturbances.
- Direct traffic, enforce parking regulations, issue citations, and coordinate vehicle impoundments.
- Install traffic control devices and maintain departmental equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with the public.
- Assist during athletic and special events, complete accurate documentation, and support daily campus operations while ensuring compliance with university policies.
Required profile
- Valid driver’s license and ability to be certified through the Defensive Driving Course.
- At least 18 years of age.
- No felony convictions (or relief granted).
- No civil service test score required.
- No prior experience or training required.
