Campus Security Guard

About the role

Louisiana State University Eunice is looking for a safety‑conscious, enthusiastic individual to join its campus security team. As a Campus Security Guard you will help maintain a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors across the university grounds.

Key responsibilities

• Issue citations for traffic and parking violations and direct traffic within assigned areas.
• Secure and lock all university buildings and property during and after business hours.
• Provide a visible presence by conducting regular foot or vehicle patrols.
• Complete security statements, shift reports, and maintain filing systems for incident documentation.
• Make occasional off‑campus trips for university business as assigned.
• Render first aid and other assistance as needed.

Required profile

• Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of appointment.
• Valid Louisiana driver’s license.
• No felony convictions (or relief from disabilities as required by law).
• Ability to work varied shifts and respond during emergencies.
• Physical ability to perform tasks such as walking, standing, lifting, bending, and reaching above shoulder level.

Required skills

• First aid certification or ability to render basic medical assistance.
