Campus Custodian (Full-time)

About the role

The University seeks a reliable Custodian to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment across its Main Campus. Working full‑time, you will follow a detailed cleaning plan and support the facilities team during routine and emergency situations.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and maintain 28,000‑35,000 sq ft of campus space each eight‑hour shift.
• Perform snow and ice removal, and respond to water or fire damage cleanup.
• Provide cleaning support for special events and other ad‑hoc tasks.
• Use standard custodial tools, equipment, materials and supplies safely and efficiently.
• Report to and follow guidance from Custodial Supervisors and other facilities managers.
• Adhere to all safety rules, regulations and university policies, including accurate clock‑in/out.

• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Flexibility to adjust schedule for emergencies or special events.
• Commitment to professionalism and courteous interaction with university community and visitors.
• Willingness to follow detailed cleaning plans and safety procedures.
• Physical capability to perform cleaning tasks and handle equipment.
