Cable Manufacturing Operator

About the role

The Operator is responsible for safely running production equipment in a high‑voltage cable manufacturing environment. You will ensure product quality, maintain equipment cleanliness, and accurately record production data.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain cable manufacturing equipment while adhering to safety and quality standards.
• Interact with Man‑Machine Interface (MMI) and touch‑screen systems to enter production data, daily reports, and scrap tracking.
• Follow Standard Work Instructions (SWIs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for equipment setup, teardown, and operation.
• Perform quality inspections using micrometers, OTDR, gauge‑block microscopes, and related tools.
• Complete required paperwork and documentation for each shift.
• Use hand tools for equipment adjustments and support team members with training and coaching.

Required profile

• High school diploma (technical education preferred).
• Manufacturing experience, especially in a production environment.
• Ability to read and follow technical documentation, SWIs, and SOPs.
• Basic math skills for interpreting process sheets and tracking material usage.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to travel short‑term for training and pass pre‑employment physical and drug screening.
