About the role
Nissan is seeking a Buyer 2 – CPM to support its manufacturing sites in Smyrna, TN and Canton, MS. In this hybrid position you will negotiate pricing, manage purchasing activities, and ensure a continuous flow of parts and services for production.
Key responsibilities
- Negotiate competitive pricing and manage assigned commodities to achieve cost‑reduction goals.
- Identify, develop, and qualify suppliers to meet current and future production needs.
- Analyze supplier options and select the most competitive sources for each commodity.
- Maintain contracts, purchase orders, supplier files, and pricing documentation.
- Coordinate cross‑department activities to keep part supply uninterrupted and drive ongoing cost‑reduction initiatives.
Required profile
- 3‑5 years of purchasing or procurement experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to work on‑site in Franklin, TN.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical abilities.
Required skills
- Working knowledge of MS Office.
