About the role
Join Applied Materials in Austin to lead business unit operations, driving financial performance, cost efficiency, and safety across the division.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with product line or division management on cross‑functional execution of programs to meet and exceed division and financial goals.
- Coordinate product line or division portfolio prioritization and budget alignment.
- Ensure OPEX spending aligns with project plans and targets.
- Manage business process creation and continuous improvement.
- Drive division COGS reduction plans to achieve gross‑margin targets.
- Coordinate division‑level business continuity planning and crisis management.
- Drive division safety compliance, including lab safety practices.
- Support and complete all ePLC operational deliverables.
Required profile
- Demonstrates depth or breadth of expertise in a specialized discipline.
- Interprets business challenges and recommends best practices.
- Leads functional teams or projects with moderate complexity.
- Leads others to solve complex problems using sophisticated analytical thought.
- Impacts achievement of customer, operational, project or service objectives.
- Communicates difficult concepts and negotiates viewpoints.
Required skills
- Experience with OPEX budgeting and cost management.
- Knowledge of COGS reduction and gross‑margin improvement.
- Business process creation and continuous improvement.
- Business continuity planning and crisis management.
- Lab safety compliance.
