Business Systems Quality Manager

About the role

Moog is seeking a Business Systems Quality Manager to lead the sustainment and improvement of APQP and other quality management processes. The position is onsite in Buffalo, NY and supports the Group Quality Director.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the APQP subject‑matter expert, trainer, and administrator, driving process implementation and lessons‑learned sharing.
• Plan and execute APQP and Business Systems maturity assessments, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.
• Lead process‑improvement projects, develop measurable plans, and track results.
• Monitor and manage the SDG document‑control process at a tactical level.
• Provide compliance support for enterprise customer quality requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in quality or business systems management or process development.
• Strong understanding of quality and business management systems and how they integrate across an organization.
• Excellent critical‑thinking, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Self‑starter able to work independently, manage workload, and meet deadlines.
• Ability to travel 5‑10% and obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Required skills

• APQP and PPAP knowledge (AS9145, IATF 16949, AESQ‑RM13145).
• Risk‑evaluation tools: Process Flow Diagrams, DFMEA, PFMEA, DFM, MSA, Control Plans.
• Microsoft SharePoint for building and maintaining collaboration environments.
