Business Support Analyst 3 – TANF Policy

About the role

The Georgia Department of Human Services is seeking a Business Support Analyst 3 to support the Office of Family Independence (OFI) and the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program. Working under broad supervision, you will perform complex administrative, financial and operational data analysis to help improve program efficiency and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret program data to ensure compliance with federal TANF requirements.
• Coordinate the single‑state audit process with state and federal TANF agencies, preparing documentation and overseeing corrective actions.
• Develop monthly and quarterly performance reports for DFCS.
• Participate in User Acceptance Testing for TANF system changes.
• Provide technical assistance and consultation to OFI, regional, and county staff.
• Collaborate with other departments, external agencies, and vendors to resolve business issues.
• Serve on division or department committees and task forces as requested.

Required profile

• Experience in data analysis, reporting, and audit coordination within a public‑sector environment.
• Strong understanding of TANF policies and federal requirements.
• Ability to work independently, exercise judgment, and manage multiple priorities.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with staff at all levels and external partners.
