Business Manager – The Addy/Museum Place

About the role

The Business Manager supports the Community Manager in overseeing the financial and operational aspects of the community at The Addy/Museum Place. This position handles accounting, bookkeeping, rent collection, invoicing, and financial reporting to ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and post rent, fees, and other resident payments.
• Prepare daily bank deposits, reconcile bank accounts, and manage cash flow.
• Generate monthly close‑out financial reports and other required statements.
• Process vendor invoices, code charges to the appropriate Chart of Accounts, and obtain Community Manager approval.
• Operate Yardi/OneSite property management software, ensuring accurate data entry and system integrity.
• Review resident files for unpaid or late fees, communicate with residents, and enforce lease terms to maximize revenue.
• Assist with eviction procedures, including notice requirements and court representation.
• Handle resident move‑out processes, including lease term review and deposit reconciliation.

Required profile

• Experience in property management accounting or affordable housing preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with residents, vendors, and internal teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Yardi property management software.
• Proficiency with OneSite property management software.
• Fundamental accounting and bookkeeping knowledge.
