Business Management Operations Specialist

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Business Management Operations professional to bridge customer requirements and manufacturing execution. The role works within cross‑functional teams to ensure that custom configurations are translated into buildable systems while adhering to business guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Translate customer configuration requirements into manufacturable systems and coordinate with product line managers, engineering, and manufacturing project managers.
• Manage the end‑to‑end order fulfillment process, including forecast, slot requests, booking closure, shipment, and lead‑time change approvals.
• Prepare and verify clean booking checklists, ensuring all purchase orders, spec demonstration approvals, and related documentation are complete.
• Communicate order status, configuration changes, and source inspection results to customers and internal teams.
• Escalate booking or revenue issues to management as needed.

Required profile

• Demonstrated conceptual knowledge in the discipline with the ability to broaden capabilities.
• Understanding of key business drivers and ability to apply that knowledge to daily tasks.
• Provides informal guidance to new team members without formal supervisory responsibilities.
• Solves straightforward problems using technical experience and judgment.
• Impacts quality of own work and that of the team while operating within established policies.
