About the role
The company is a leading mechanical contracting firm seeking a Business Development Manager to accelerate growth across commercial, industrial, healthcare and specialist sectors. You will work closely with senior leadership, pre‑construction and operations teams to identify and secure new projects while nurturing existing client relationships.
Key responsibilities
- Identify, pursue and win new business opportunities across target markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, main contractors and key stakeholders.
- Lead bid strategy and manage tender submissions from early engagement through to contract award.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and pipeline opportunities.
- Represent the business at industry events, meetings and networking functions.
- Support long‑term business planning and growth strategy.
Required profile
- Proven business development experience within mechanical contracting, MEP or building services.
- Extensive network of contractors, consultants and end‑clients.
- Track record of securing work on large‑scale construction projects.
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation abilities.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Proactive, self‑motivated and consistently exceeds targets.
