Business Development Manager – Law Firm

About the role

The Business Development Manager will partner with firm lawyers to drive revenue by supporting and coordinating targeted business development initiatives across practice and industry groups, with a focus on litigation‑oriented services. The role can be based in any U.S. office.

Key responsibilities

• Provide pitch, RFP, and presentation support, including drafting scripts, outlining decks, creating materials, and coaching lawyers.
• Monitor industry, client, and legal trends to identify new business opportunities and communicate them to the Business Development & Marketing team.
• Deepen knowledge of practice areas and industries to enhance the quality of proposals, competitive intelligence, and client outreach.
• Coach lawyers on business development strategy, prospect identification, relationship expansion, and conflict management.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, compelling narratives.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with senior attorneys and leadership.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Required skills

• Proficiency with presentation software (e.g., PowerPoint) for creating pitch decks and client materials.
