Business Development Manager

About the role

Converge Insurance is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth of its wholesale and partnered cyber insurance strategy in the West region, primarily focusing on the Southeast. Reporting to the Head of Distribution, the role works closely with underwriting and cyber risk teams to align product, technology and broker relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Develop regional business plans with the Head of Distribution and underwriting team to generate new opportunities, optimize products, and retain renewals.
• Conduct planned brokerage visits within the assigned territory to acquire new accounts, service existing ones, and improve broker performance.
• Support brokers by communicating Converge’s product appetite, coverage options, pricing, claims handling, and security services.
• Monitor broker performance, identify trends, and provide guidance during periodic reviews.
• Assist in lead generation and go‑to‑market strategy for partnered insurance program initiatives.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in sales, underwriting, or placement of commercial cyber insurance, technology, or cybersecurity solutions.
• Self‑motivated, entrepreneurial mindset and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks or projects simultaneously.
• Bachelor’s degree.

What we offer

• Base salary $145,000 – $200,000 annually, commensurate with experience and location.
