Business Development Manager

About the role

The Business Development Manager will drive growth and expand market presence for a rapidly growing provider of air emission control systems serving the refining, chemical, marine and oilfield sectors. Based in Houston, the role focuses on building strategic partnerships, acquiring new clients, and identifying new business opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market research to spot emerging trends, opportunities and expansion areas.
• Analyze market data, competitor strategies, customer feedback and commodity futures to shape business development plans.
• Monitor industry news, environmental regulations and upcoming rulings.
• Develop and execute strategic plans to meet revenue targets.
• Identify, evaluate and negotiate partnerships and alliances at both site and corporate levels.
• Prospect new clients through networking, cold calling and lead generation.
• Deliver sales presentations, pitches and product demonstrations.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing and terms to secure new business.
• Collaborate with sales and cross‑functional teams for seamless client handover.
• Maintain long‑lasting relationships with clients, partners and industry contacts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field (MBA a plus).
• Proven experience in business development or B2B sales with a record of meeting or exceeding targets.
• Strong communication, negotiation and presentation abilities.
• Strategic thinker capable of identifying and capitalising on market opportunities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM software.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite.
