Business Development Manager – Cloud Infrastructure

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Business Development Manager to drive awareness and demand for Zenlayer’s Elastic Compute platform. You will focus on high‑traffic, globally distributed workloads, especially in regions where hyperscaler coverage is limited.

Key responsibilities

• Map and engage with forums, communities, conferences, and private groups where high‑traffic operators discuss their challenges.
• Generate qualified pipeline through outreach, community participation, events, and referral relationships, handing leads to sales with sufficient context.
• Build and nurture relationships with resellers, ISVs, and channel partners, aiming to have 2–3 active lead sources within the first year.
• Analyze market win/loss data and feed actionable intelligence back to product and marketing teams.
• Collaborate with product and marketing to craft positioning and materials that resonate with technically sophisticated buyers.

Required profile

• Proven experience in cloud infrastructure, networking, or a closely related field with enough technical credibility to initiate conversations independently.
• Demonstrated ability to build pipeline from cold outreach.
• Strong instincts for identifying where target buyers congregate and how to capture their attention.
• Comfortable operating in an early‑stage, low‑structure environment and shaping the playbook.
