Business Development Focal Point, Global Opportunities

About the role

The Business Development Focal Point, Global Opportunities will work closely with the Global Awards and Project Support (GAPS) team to expand and diversify revenue from institutional donors, foundations, the private sector and other funding sources, supporting CRS strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and align resource mobilization strategies with agency goals for global funding opportunities.
• Advise leadership on donor engagement strategies and cultivate relationships for global opportunities.
• Support creation of resource mobilization plans and collaborate with regional and country teams on positioning, capture planning, proposal coordination, budgeting and compliance.
• Research funding trends, analyze intelligence and lead efforts to enhance CRS competitive position for global opportunities.
• Maintain accurate global business pipeline and performance data in CRS online systems.
• Represent CRS at industry conferences and working groups with a focus on global opportunities.
• Lead agency BD strategy development, opportunity pipeline management and coordination across technical, operations and regional teams.
• Act as proposal coordinator, lead writer or budget lead for selected global awards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development, donor engagement or fundraising within an international or humanitarian context.
• Ability to analyze funding trends and translate intelligence into strategic actions.
• Strong coordination skills to work with global, regional and country teams.
• Excellent written communication for proposal development and donor correspondence.
• Capacity to manage data and maintain accurate pipeline information.
