Business Controller – Finance & Operations

About the role

Go Local Promotions Inc. is looking for a remote Business Controller to act as the strategic bridge between Finance and Operations. You will own the quotation process, monitor project profitability, and support operational decisions with solid financial analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and review project budgets, cost estimates, and quotations, covering labor, materials, logistics, travel and subcontractor costs.
• Analyze project profitability and margin performance; prepare financial reports and KPI dashboards for management.
• Lead the quotation process for production, installation, staffing and experiential projects, building pricing models that balance competitiveness and margin.
• Participate in project planning meetings, review staffing and logistics plans, and provide scenario modeling to ensure financial viability.
• Track financial performance from estimate to completion, identify cost overruns and recommend corrective actions.
• Standardize costing procedures, improve workflows between Operations, Accounting and Production, and support ERP/reporting system enhancements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in FP&A, Business Control, Operations Finance, Project Finance or Cost Analysis.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Experience in project‑based environments such as events, manufacturing, construction or logistics.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
