Business Asset Accountant

About the role

The Business Asset Accountant supports Augusta Technical College by managing physical infrastructure, assets, and related operations. This role ensures facilities and assets are maintained, utilized efficiently, and aligned with strategic goals while complying with state and institutional requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate asset records, tracking inventory, condition, and location of facilities and equipment.
• Coordinate with administrators, faculty, staff, and vendors to address facility needs and project timelines.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations, safety standards, and institutional policies.
• Oversee state vehicle operations, including usage tracking and maintenance scheduling.
• Manage rental spaces and scheduling across all campuses.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in facilities management, business administration, engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least three years of full‑time experience in asset tracking, inventory systems, or facilities management.
• Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving ability, and capacity to manage multiple priorities.
• Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
