Business Analyst – Environmental Data Products

About the role

First Quantum is looking for a Business Analyst to own and drive the environmental data products across the company. You will act as the functional bridge between the Environment Management team and corporate ICT, turning complex environmental data into actionable business intelligence.

Key responsibilities

• Govern the quality, integrity and traceability of environmental data throughout its lifecycle.
• Design, maintain and evolve KPIs and dashboards that monitor environmental performance and compliance.
• Specify functional requirements for ICT and external consultants using agile methods, validate deliverables and accept releases.
• Coordinate with Communications to publish environmental information on internal and public portals.
• Register, classify and review AI/ML initiatives in the environmental domain before they commence.
• Ensure systematic traceability of evidence and data to support audit compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Data Science, Statistics, Systems Engineering, Geography/GIS or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in data product development, data analysis or business intelligence, with at least 3 years in a functional ownership role (Product Owner, Senior Business Analyst, Business Relationship Manager).
• Proven experience defining requirements for ICT/Data teams and accepting deliverables under agile methodologies.
• Background in environmental, mining or natural‑resources contexts subject to external audits (ESIA, ISO 14001, TSM, Copper Mark or equivalents).
