Bulk and Install Delivery Driver

About the role

HD Supply is hiring a Bulk and Install Delivery Driver who delivers and installs kitchen and laundry appliances using a company-provided vehicle. The driver also maintains delivery records and handles customer service questions about orders and deliveries. The position requires driving a company or rental vehicle, which may be done during the average work week, and the company monitors Motor Vehicle Records (MVRs); an acceptable MVR and a valid driver's license are required.

Key responsibilities

• Load, transport and deliver kitchen and laundry appliances safely to customer homes or businesses
• Install appliances in line with manufacturer guidelines, building codes and safety standards
• Perform basic connections such as water, electrical and venting during installation
• Remove old appliances and dispose of packaging materials as needed
• Troubleshoot basic installation issues and escalate them when necessary
• Follow planned routes, obey traffic laws and safety regulations, and maintain the delivery vehicle
• Provide polite, professional customer service during deliveries and refer complex problems to the supervisor

Required profile

• Preferred: prior experience delivering and installing appliances, and 1+ years operating material handling equipment
• Preferred: experience operating a box truck and wholesale distribution experience
• No more than 2 moving violations or 2 minor accidents in the past 3 years
• HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred; specialized skills training or certification may be required
• Generally 2-5 years of experience in the area of responsibility
