Building Maintenance Specialist – Full Benefits, 8‑hr Shift

About the role

We are seeking a Building Maintenance Specialist to join the District Office Maintenance Department. The position works an 8‑hour day, Monday through Friday, and includes full benefits or cash compensation in lieu of benefits.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general building maintenance tasks across the district facilities.
• Operate aerial lifts, scissor lifts, and forklifts safely after completing required certifications.
• Drive district vehicles in compliance with a valid California driver’s license and maintain a district‑insurable driving record.
• Attend mandatory safety and equipment training sessions.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and report any issues promptly.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least three years of responsible experience in general maintenance work.
• Valid California driver’s license of the appropriate class.
• District‑insurable driving record.
• Ability to obtain TB clearance and fingerprinting at employee cost.
• One professional letter of recommendation and a current resume.
