Budget Controller

About the role

The Budget Controller will oversee financial planning, monitoring, and control for complex projects and multi‑year capital programs within LaBella’s Program Management Services Division. This role ensures that spending aligns with strategic objectives, approved budgets, and provides data‑driven insights for cost optimization.

Key responsibilities

• Produce regular and ad‑hoc financial reports to support project planning and control.
• Develop, implement, and maintain project control databases and cost reports.
• Reconcile program control data with financial and performance systems in coordination with Project Managers.
• Verify accuracy of cost coding and allocation to project budgets.
• Generate accounting, cost, deviation, under‑run/over‑run, forecast, and cost‑trend reports.
• Monitor project and program costs against budgets and forecasts, and work with Investment Planning & Control on capital budget needs.
• Maintain change control registers and assess progress measurements, including Earned Value Management (EVM) throughout project stages.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in project controlling or supervisory roles.
• Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• CAPM or Earned Value Management certification (or equivalent) preferred.

Required skills

• SAP experience.
• CAPM certification.
• Earned Value Management (EVM) knowledge.
