Brief-Writing Associate – Wage & Hour Litigation (Houston, Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Brief-Writing Associate to join a specialized wage‑and‑hour law firm. The associate will work on complex civil litigation matters, drafting and preparing persuasive legal briefs for both trial and appellate courts. The position is full‑time, permanent, and can be performed on‑site in Houston or remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, edit, and finalize legal briefs and memoranda.
• Conduct substantive legal research using primary and secondary sources.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies.
• Prepare supporting documentation and exhibits for litigation.
• Maintain accurate case files and ensure compliance with court deadlines.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of experience as an associate attorney in civil litigation.
• Demonstrated expertise in drafting persuasive legal briefs.
• Bar admission in Texas (or ability to obtain).
• Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Houston or remotely as needed.
