Box Truck Delivery Driver (Non-CDL)

About the role

HD Supply is hiring a Box Truck Delivery Driver (non-CDL) to make deliveries to customer job sites while following all safety procedures. The driver loads inventory onto the truck and unloads it at each customer site. The work is done under general supervision, with regular review of output by a senior coworker or supervisor.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections of vehicles and supplies to ensure road safety.
• Plan routes to and from customer businesses and adjust for traffic and construction.
• Ensure manifests are complete and accurate, and pull orders to match them.
• Load the truck with daily merchandise and unload it for customers.
• Deliver merchandise to customers and contact them if they are not present.
• Prepare and maintain records according to company policy, and refer complex problems to the supervisor.

Required profile

• HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred; specialized skills training or certification may be required.
• Generally 2-5 years of experience in the area of responsibility.
• Ability to lift and maneuver heavy or awkward material (50+ pounds).
• Overnight travel is less than 5% of the time.
