Bookkeeper for Alexan Riverside & Rivercrest

About the role

The Bookkeeper will support the financial and administrative operations of the Alexan Riverside and Alexan Rivercrest communities. This back‑office position focuses on accurate property accounting, invoice processing, and month‑end reporting, without resident‑facing duties.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records for both properties.
• Review, code, and process invoices, ensuring proper account allocation.
• Prepare and submit invoices for Community Manager approval.
• Maintain vendor files, contracts, certificates of insurance and related documentation.
• Generate reports on expenditures, invoice payments and property account activity.
• Assist with ledger balancing, discrepancy research and month‑end close.
• Support general ledger reviews, identifying coding errors, missing invoices and necessary reclassifications.
• Handle accounts payable, receivable, billing and other property‑related financial transactions.
• Track vendor statements and follow up on missing invoices or credits.
• Support budget preparation, variance analysis and financial reporting.
• Maintain organized electronic and physical accounting records per company standards.

Required profile

• Experience maintaining property financial records and processing invoices.
• Ability to reconcile ledgers and investigate accounting discrepancies.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Comfort working with community managers, corporate accounting teams and vendors.
