About the role

PathGroup is seeking an AP/CP Board‑Certified or Board‑Eligible Pathologist to join a collegial team serving a regional health system in East Texas. The role offers a diverse mix of general surgical and cytopathology cases with opportunities for academic, quality‑improvement, and research involvement.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret a broad spectrum of surgical pathology and cytopathology specimens.
• Perform frozen sections (average ~2 per day) and provide timely consults.
• Participate in call coverage, primarily phone consults and specimen handling.
• Collaborate with subspecialty experts across PathGroup’s national network.
• Engage in research, quality‑improvement projects, and teaching initiatives.

Required profile

• AP/CP Board‑Certified or Board‑Eligible Pathologist.
• Interest in hematopathology, lymph node evaluation, or molecular work.
• Commitment to collaborative practice and professional growth.

• Surgical pathology interpretation.
