Board Certified/Eligible Anesthesiologist (General)

About the role

Montefiore Medical Center’s Department of Anesthesiology is seeking board‑certified or board‑eligible anesthesiologists to join a team of more than 40 physicians. The position supports a diverse patient population across four campuses and offers opportunities for teaching, research, and leadership in peri‑operative care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia services for a wide range of specialties, including gynecology, plastics, ENT, bariatrics, vascular, orthopedics, genitourinary, thoracic, ambulatory and NORA cases.
• Supervise Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) on up to four concurrent cases.
• Participate in teaching activities for medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Engage in research initiatives and quality‑improvement projects.
• Make data‑driven clinical decisions in the OR, ICU, pain clinic, and procedural suites.

Required profile

• Board certification or eligibility in Anesthesiology.
• Eligibility to practice medicine in New York State.
• Commitment to delivering equitable, high‑quality patient care.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary surgical and medical teams.

Required skills

• Perioperative and periprocedural care.
• ICU patient management.
• Pain clinic involvement.
• CRNA supervision.

What we offer

• Competitive base salary ranging from $320,000 to $465,000.
