BMW Service Technician

About the role

The Service Technician works in the BMW of Chattanooga service department, performing vehicle repair and maintenance according to dealer and factory standards. The role includes supervising apprentice technicians and ensuring all work meets safety and quality requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Receive repair orders, move vehicles to the stall area, and complete work efficiently and accurately.
• Diagnose malfunctions, perform repairs, and document all work performed.
• Communicate with the parts department, tag warranty parts, and ensure proper parts handling.
• Inspect vehicles for additional safety or service needs and inform the service advisor promptly.
• Road‑test vehicles or coordinate with the test technician as required.
• Supervise apprentice technicians assigned to the work area.
• Attend factory‑sponsored training and stay current with technical bulletins.
• Maintain a clean shop, keep dealership tools accounted for, and follow all safety and environmental regulations.

Required profile

• High CSI rating (customer satisfaction) is required.
• ASE certification or equivalent manufacturing training.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Manual dexterity and good judgment.
• Authorization to work in the United States and ability to pass background, MVR, drug test, and pre‑employment assessments.
