About the role
The Bistro Server works the morning shift at the hotel’s Bistro, delivering courteous food and beverage service to guests while upholding brand and sustainability standards.
Key responsibilities
- Set up necessary supplies, food, and beverage at the beginning of the shift and maintain a stocked work area.
- Take orders from customers, input orders, obtain payment and provide change.
- Communicate meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
- Prepare food, coffee and other beverages, including alcohol when necessary.
- Perform other food and beverage functions such as bartending and bussing during staffing shortages or peak periods.
- Count bank at end of shift, complete cashier reports, resolve discrepancies and secure cash according to policy.
- Clean equipment and areas, lock doors, and follow safety and sustainability guidelines.
Required profile
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous food and beverage experience or equivalent training required.
