Biomedical Technician – Level III (Equipment Support)

About the role

Blue Water Thinking is seeking a Level III Biomedical Technician to provide on‑site support for a wide range of medical devices at VA Fargo Health Care. The role involves corrective actions, preventive maintenance, and detailed record‑keeping under direct supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on diverse medical equipment.
• Maintain daily logs, data reporting, and schedule documentation.
• Support new device roll‑outs, including TV, TUG, Med‑gas, EKG, Philips upgrades, anesthesia carts, beds, and dialysis pumps.
• Manage equipment inventory and ensure proper documentation in the CERNER system.
• Conduct operational verification procedures and planned maintenance activities.

Required profile

• Experience in a hospital biomedical engineering department or with the Veterans Health Administration.
• Associate degree or higher in an applied science field or equivalent military training.
• Minimum five years of hands‑on experience with hospital medical equipment.
• Understanding of VA VISN operations and regulatory agency requirements.
