Biomedical Technician / Equipment Support Specialist - Level III

About the role

Blue Water Thinking is seeking a skilled Biomedical Technician / Equipment Support Specialist (Level III) to ensure the reliability, functionality, and safety of medical equipment at a VA facility in Grand Junction. The role combines hands‑on maintenance with collaboration on device security and software integration.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on a wide variety of medical devices.
• Diagnose and execute corrective repairs following manufacturer specifications.
• Inspect incoming equipment for safety, functionality, and compliance.
• Install, calibrate, and configure new medical equipment.
• Conduct electrical safety inspections and address any hazards.
• Work with IT and cybersecurity teams to enforce medical device security protocols.
• Manage hazard recalls and perform software repairs, including Cerner integration tasks.
