About the role

Blue Water Thinking is seeking a Biomedical Technician / Equipment Support Specialist – Level I to ensure the reliability, safety, and performance of medical equipment at a VA facility in Aurora. The role combines hands‑on maintenance, security, and integration tasks to support high‑quality patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on a wide variety of medical devices.
• Diagnose and execute corrective repairs following manufacturer specifications.
• Inspect incoming equipment for safety, functionality, and compliance.
• Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to implement medical device security measures.
• Install, calibrate, and configure equipment, including Cerner system integration.
• Conduct electrical safety inspections and address any hazards.
• Manage hazard recalls and perform software repairs as needed.
