About the role

We are looking for a skilled Biomedical Technician – Equipment Support Specialist with a focus on information systems to join our healthcare team in Iowa City. The role ensures the reliability, safety, and optimal performance of networked medical equipment, supporting high‑quality patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on a wide variety of networked medical devices.
• Inspect incoming equipment for safety, functionality, and compliance with standards.
• Install, calibrate, configure, and verify proper operation of new medical equipment.
• Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to implement device security protocols and protect patient data.
• Conduct electrical safety inspections and address hazard or safety recalls.
• Execute software repairs and updates, including work with Cerner systems.

Required profile
