Biomedical Technician / Equipment Support Specialist – Information Systems

About the role

Blue Water Thinking is looking for a skilled Biomedical Equipment Technician with strong networking experience to join its healthcare team. You will ensure that networked medical devices operate safely, reliably, and securely, supporting high‑quality patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on a wide variety of networked medical equipment.
• Diagnose and execute corrective maintenance according to manufacturer specifications.
• Inspect incoming medical devices for safety, functionality, and compliance.
• Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to implement device security protocols.
• Install, calibrate, and configure equipment, including electrical safety checks.
• Monitor and address hazard recalls and safety notices.
• Repair software issues and support Cerner system integrations.
