About the role

Blue Water Thinking is seeking a skilled Biomedical Equipment Technician – Level III to support medical devices at a Veterans Affairs facility in Hot Springs. The role ensures equipment reliability, safety, and compliance, contributing directly to patient care quality.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on a wide variety of medical equipment to maximize uptime.
• Diagnose and execute corrective repairs following manufacturer specifications.
• Inspect incoming equipment for safety, functionality, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to implement medical device security measures.
• Install, calibrate, and configure new devices, including integration with Cerner systems.
• Conduct electrical safety inspections and address any hazards.
• Manage hazard recalls, software repairs, and documentation of all service activities.

Required profile

• Technical background in biomedical equipment maintenance or related field.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and follow strict safety and regulatory guidelines.

Required skills

• Experience with Cerner integration.
