Bilingual Virtual Medical Receptionist / Administrative Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a reliable, detail‑oriented bilingual professional to serve as a Virtual Medical Receptionist and Medical Administrative Assistant for a busy U.S.‑based practice. The role is fully remote and focuses on delivering high‑quality patient service while supporting daily office operations.

Key responsibilities

• Answer high‑volume inbound and outbound patient calls with professionalism and compassion.
• Schedule new and follow‑up appointments, confirm, reschedule, or cancel as needed, and manage provider calendars.
• Verify patient insurance eligibility, document benefits, and communicate coverage information.
• Assist with prior authorization requests and track status with insurers.
• Enter and update patient information in the Prompt EMR (or other EMR systems) and maintain accurate records.
• Relay messages to providers and staff, and provide general administrative support.

Required profile

• Bilingual in English and Spanish, both spoken and written.
• Minimum two years of experience in medical reception, administrative assistance, or patient care coordination.
• Experience supporting a U.S. medical practice and handling insurance verification.
• Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and capacity to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Self‑motivated remote worker who can collaborate with a virtual healthcare team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Prompt EMR (or comparable electronic medical record platforms).
