Bilingual SUD Counselor (English/Spanish)

About the role

CRI-Help is seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish) Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Counselor to join its East Hollywood Socorro facility. The role focuses on providing culturally‑responsive counseling and case management to a largely Spanish‑speaking client base, helping individuals achieve lasting recovery.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a schedule of regular counseling appointments and provide crisis or unscheduled counseling as needed.
• Complete comprehensive bio‑psycho‑social assessments for each client and develop individualized treatment plans with clear goals.
• Document progress through notes and reports, tracking client advancement toward treatment objectives.
• Participate in weekly case conferences and treatment team meetings to discuss client progress, challenges, and training updates.
• Serve as a liaison between clients, families, and multidisciplinary staff to coordinate care.

Required profile

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Strong interest or experience in substance use disorder counseling and case work.
• Ability to work effectively with underserved, Spanish‑speaking populations.
• Excellent communication, empathy, and organizational skills.
