About the role
FMTC Safety is looking for a bilingual (Spanish‑speaking) Safety Training Instructor to join its offshore training team in Houma, Louisiana. You will deliver a variety of safety courses – from sea survival and helicopter‑under‑water‑escape (HUET) to other offshore and maritime simulations – ensuring participants gain both theoretical knowledge and hands‑on experience.
Key responsibilities
- Teach theory and practical components of offshore safety courses such as Sea Survival, HUET, and related modules.
- Operate realistic training simulators and equipment to create authentic learning environments.
- Support participants in applying theory during practical exercises.
- Maintain safety standards and ensure all training activities comply with industry regulations.
Required profile
- Relevant offshore or maritime industry experience (forklift, heavy equipment, confined space, rigging).
- Fluent in Spanish; able to conduct courses entirely in Spanish.
- Creative, stress‑resistant and able to maintain a positive attitude.
- Client‑oriented with a passion for delivering engaging training.
