Bilingual Safety Technician – 3rd Shift

About the role

The Safety Technician supports the implementation and maintenance of the plant’s Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs at Tindall’s Petersburg, VA facility. This entry‑level position works on the 3rd shift and helps ensure regulatory compliance, hazard identification, and a strong safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine safety inspections of production areas, yard operations, maintenance shops, and mobile equipment.
• Identify unsafe conditions, behaviors, and regulatory gaps, and communicate findings to plant leadership.
• Assist with incident investigations, root‑cause analysis, and documentation of preventive actions.
• Support environmental compliance activities and mobile equipment safety monitoring.
• Maintain safety records, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), inspection logs, and training documentation.
• Participate in safety committee meetings and safety‑related training sessions.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED (required).
• Entry‑level experience (1‑2 years of safety experience preferred but not required).
• Manufacturing, construction, or industrial background preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish candidates are preferred.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of workplace safety principles.
• Familiarity with OSHA standards and safety documentation.
