Bilingual Medication Nurse (English/Spanish)

About the role

CRI-Help is seeking a bilingual Medication Nurse to oversee self‑administration of medications for residential clients in a substance‑use disorder treatment setting. The role requires fluency in English and Spanish and ensures compliance with medication protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Safeguard and observe self‑administration of approved client medications in accordance with residential regulations.
• Act as liaison with the Social Services Manager or Director of Nursing for medication approvals.
• Record incoming medication in the inventory log and verify approvals.
• Monitor clients’ medical issues, report changes, and communicate medication responses to physicians.
• Alert management to client illnesses, accidents, injuries, and other medical concerns.
• Complete daily medication review audits and maintain accurate medication records.
• Document handling and care coordination notes in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) within required timeframes.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Fluency in both English and Spanish.
• Experience in residential or substance‑use disorder settings preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow regulatory guidelines.
