Bilingual Group Facilitator (English/Spanish) – SUD Treatment

About the role

The Group Facilitator will lead therapeutic and educational groups for clients at CRI‑Help’s East Hollywood facility, Socorro. This position serves a primarily Spanish‑speaking population, providing culturally and linguistically appropriate care in a substance use disorder (SUD) setting.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate evidence‑based therapeutic groups for adults and families.
• Write individualized, client‑centered group notes daily, reflecting fidelity to the applied interventions.
• Collaborate with the Program Manager and other staff to support client progress.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by the Program Manager.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification from a state‑approved addiction counseling entity (e.g., CADTP, CAADE, CCAPP) or master‑level BBS registration.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Willingness to undergo random drug screenings.
• Prior group facilitation experience or a strong desire to learn on the job.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Motivational Interviewing (MI) techniques.
• Knowledge of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques.
• Familiarity with the 12‑step programs of AA/NA.
• Strong communication abilities with staff and clients.
