Benefits Plan Manager – Health & Welfare

About the role

The Office of Employee Benefits at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta is seeking a Benefits Plan Manager to lead health and welfare programs for employees, retirees, and dependents. Based in Newark, NJ, you will guide a team that oversees multiple benefit plans, vendor relationships, and compliance across the Federal Reserve System.

Key responsibilities

• Coach and support team members responsible for vendor management of system‑wide benefits programs.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements for benefit plans.
• Use data analysis to recommend benefit plan strategies, benchmark programs, and evaluate emerging trends.
• Manage relationships with outsourced administrators and insurance providers.
• Lead continuous research of best practices and perform benchmarking analysis.
• Report to the AVP, Health & Welfare Benefits and collaborate with stakeholders across the Federal Reserve System.

• Experienced people leader who has managed operational teams through change.
• Proven ability to drive process improvements, efficiency gains, and outcome measurement.
• Strong understanding of benefit plan compliance and regulatory environments.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
