About the role
The State of Georgia is seeking a Behavioral Health Counselor II to join the Joint Regional Center (JRC) in Dodge County. This full‑time position works under general supervision to provide preventive counseling and behavior‑modification services to individuals and groups.
Key responsibilities
- Provide counseling focused on prevention and behavior modification.
- Assist individuals and groups in achieving optimal mental health.
- Address issues such as addiction, substance abuse, family and marital problems, suicide risk, stress management, self‑esteem, aging‑related concerns, and overall emotional health.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in counseling or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Two years of relevant job experience, or one year of experience as a Behavioral Health Counselor I (HCP100) or equivalent.
- Potential requirement for certification or licensure, depending on the specific position.
