Batch Developer – UNIX, C, SQL

About the role

Gainwell is seeking a Batch Developer with strong UNIX, C, and SQL expertise to help build and maintain healthcare administration products used by millions of patients. This fully remote position offers the chance to work on mission‑critical systems while advancing your technical career.

Key responsibilities

• Write, test, debug, and document batch programs in UNIX/Linux environments.
• Modify existing applications and create new solutions to meet client and end‑user requirements.
• Gather system information, analyze program requirements, and produce technical documentation.
• Develop test plans, conduct quality‑assurance activities, and support production issues.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.

Required profile

• 3+ years of application development and batch programming experience.
• Proficiency with Unix/Linux, C, and SQL (Oracle or comparable database).
• Experience with the full software development life‑cycle.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as a team leader.
