Bartender - Ameris Amphitheater

About the role

Ameris Amphitheater is hiring a Concessions Bartender. The role focuses on positive guest interactions while accurately mixing and serving beverages to guests and servers in a friendly and efficient manner. The employer is Legends Global, a hospitality and events agency.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, take beverage orders from restaurant servers or directly from guests, and serve drinks in line with company standards
• Mix cocktails and other bar beverages, using high-quality spirits, liqueurs, fruits, fresh herbs and spices
• Serve wine with proper service techniques, suggest wines based on guest needs and explain wine characteristics
• Check guest identification to verify age requirements for alcohol
• Handle an assigned cash drawer, collect payments and balance receipts
• Work with the culinary team to create mixers and garnishes, and keep the bar stocked and organized
• Serve food items to guests seated at the bar and promote food and beverage menus and promotions
• Keep the work area clean and organized, sweep, vacuum, dust and clean glass doors and windows, and organize catering storage areas
• Attend mandatory meetings, perform general cleaning to meet health and safety standards, and complete other duties assigned by the supervisor

Required profile

• At least two years of experience as a bartender
• Ability to work long hours and flexible shifts, including mornings, nights, weekends and holidays
• Extensive knowledge of drink recipes, wines and food and beverage products, menus and promotions
• Ability to work independently or in a team during setup and service
• Personable, friendly and welcoming, with good guest relations and etiquette
• Ability to read, speak and write English and to communicate with guests
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs continuously and have a working email to contact managers
