Barbering Adjunct Instructor – Part‑time Faculty

About the role

The Barbering Adjunct Instructor (BHI) will join the faculty of Wiregrass Georgia Technical College on the Ben Hill Campus, delivering barbering education to aspiring students on a part‑time basis. This role blends hands‑on instruction with classroom management, ensuring students acquire both technical proficiency and industry‑standard safety practices.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver Barbering courses following the approved syllabus and teaching techniques.
• Maintain and demonstrate proper use of barbering equipment and safety/sanitation procedures.
• Order supplies, manage inventory, and keep accurate records of all assigned property.
• Prepare and grade assessments, maintain grade books, and complete required reports and invoices promptly.
• Provide mentorship and support to a diverse student body, including underrepresented and disabled students.

Required profile

• Current Master Barber License in the State of Georgia.
• Minimum three (3) years of professional barbering experience.
• Ability to work under general supervision and adhere to college policies.
